one of those days

Have you ever had one of those days when you questioned your course in life?

I did.  As a result, I emailed an old boss at a hospital and asked if I could volunteer as a clinical dietitian, servicing their every need once a week...(which the boss replied 'absolutely' as long as HR checks the legalities involved)

I also jumped on the internet and looked at Physician's Assistant programs.  That's right folks, if I can be a PA, then watch out!  (It won't happen any time in the childbearing future, don't you worry... but it was an exciting thought!  It's because of scrubs.  I love scrubs.  Maybe I should just buy myself some scrubs to fill that void and be done with the idea, hehe)

Then today as Elena got her one year check up and I saw how her weight had gradually--not drastically-- descended into the 10th percentile... (she was born at the 95th)

...I realized that if I can't feed her enough in my oh so non-structured nor busy life, how on earth can I add more to my plate!  (oh, but maybe it will help me get into a better routine?)

So, yeah, it's been one of those days, but it's probably only because the sun is hidden deep behind the grey clouds...(Have I complained enough?)

In reality, I probably am not starving Elena--she's active, happy, alert and most-likely inherited Dan's skinny genes-- I'm just being hard on myself, right?  However, I am excited to possibly start volunteering at the hospital if HR allows me to!

Cheers for 'one of those days'!

Thank you for entering my thought process.
Come again.
Have a nice day.

oh Genny - don't worry.. the grass is always greener on the other side, i am constantly hating my job and wanting out and i know once on the other side, i will most likely desire to be working again from time to time but the most important thing is that you are actually doing something with a purpose and that your daughter will be blessed for it! you are wonderful - don't you dare forget and Elena is awesome!

Elena is probably in the 10% because she started to walk. That's what happens to my kids, once they start to be active and walk they become thin but still full of lots and lots of energy ;o

Don't worry, we all have those days! More often than I would like to admit. As soon as you become a stay-at-home mom, you realize it's one of the most difficult things you could EVER do! The mental/social parts of a "job" are not so stimulating much of the time, yet it is 24/7 responsibility, a lot of thankless work, a lot of cleaning I would rather not do, lots of poo, and busy yet not (does that make sense??). There are positives too, many in fact, but I understand all of the difficult days. Staying at home and not working has been REALLY hard on me at times (emphasize REALLY...I had always worked and earned my own money, since about 12, that's not easy to give up), but I'm so thankful that I have the option. These kids need us! I don't want to get to heaven with an excuse like "sorry my kid is more screwed up than he/she SHOULD bel, staying home to be the mom 100% of the time wasn't very stimulating or fun, I wanted more for myself"....can you imagine?! I just keep thinking ONE DAY I'll get to fulfill more of my "outside the home" dreams! Kids grow up fast. And I promise you will love some of the older ages more! I've always LOVED babies, so it surprised me how much I struggled from the 1-4 years old stage to keep my head on straight (maybe I haven't succeeded totally at that??). I adore the 5 year old stage! Then they go to more school and learn attitude {sigh}....that's as far as I've gone. ;)

My practical theory...
You can be full time home mother or could be successful carrier Mom.
This is a DEPEND on HOW your HUSBAND can handle situation in both way...

IT IS A GREAT TESK!

Here is little plant(child) need BOTH water(Mom) and sun(Dad) to grow...

To me, It was great joy to raising children and I always wanted to be full time Mom because it was my privilege introduce the new world to them side by side.

But, It could be "disaster" if only mothering to child..

MUST! be raise "together to complete
Marriage Package."

Efficient "food plan" is Good for adult and Child!
