One point for Washington-
in the mountains, rain turns into snow!
Dan and I went skiing last night for SUPER CHEAP! Big discount through his work.
Dan has skied all his life- so Dan is a professional in my eyes.
I had only skied once in my life, many years ago... yeah...
So while Dan reminisced on the advanced slopes,
I took "first time skiing lessons!"
We had the best instructor, who built up our confidence and taught us techniques.
In 1.5 hours, I went from rookie, to rookie plus!
After I impressed Dan with my swerves on the bunny slope,
We went to the green level!
And I lost my confidence: "I'm scared!"
But I slowly regained it, and after one fall and four runs,
I WAS CONFIDENT AGAIN! VICTORY!
We had so much fun!
And woke up this morning feeling sore. We are old.
Moral of the story: You CAN teach an old dog new tricks!
