Today, Elena found a catapillar.
She decided to carry it around in her purse.
I told her to put it back.
I later asked, "Elena, where's the caterpillar?"
"Over there," she pointed.
As I looked at it, I noticed it was a bit shorter.
"Elena, what happened to the caterpillar?!?"
"It broke.... in little pieces..."
"Elena, you killed the caterpillar!"
"No I didn't, I broked it."
No remorse. Should I be worried?
Should I also mention that she added, "It was fun!" ? ? ?
P.S. Yes, yes, this all could have been avoided had I helped her put the caterpillar back safely. I could have shown her how to be soft with it; shown her how to be gentle. SHOW, GENNY, SHOW!
