Southern England

Well, I did the big splurge.  I alone went to England this past week, while Dan took the kids to Idaho.  I figured the window of being able to visit my friends while in England was narrowing, and I had to jump on the opportunity!  I really wanted a break from my normal routine, and I fortunately got it!

I thank Lisa and Erich for being my dear friends, and housing me for the week.  I loved it.

They currently live in Bournemouth while Erich is in school.

* Going to Young Womens with Lisa * Stonehenge * Bath * Biking to Hengistbury Head * Dinner with their Swedish and Swiss friends * Portsmouth Ships * Pastys * Old Harry Rocks (and walking through farmland!!) * Stourhead House (to feel Pride and Prejudice-like) * English Cream Tea and scones * Fish and Chips * An American Lisa and Swiss Erich with slight British accents. :)

One week was perfect.  Less would have been a rush, and more would have been too long to stay away from Dan and the kids.  Though I needed a break from mothering, I yearn for it again.  That's what vacations are for!!!

My friend picked me up from the airport and told me that it snowed yesterday!  Ahhhhhh!

Well, the family is still on the road back from Idaho.  I should be greeting them in two hours!!!  Can't wait!
