We went to Uncle Mark and Aunt Anne's house for Thanksgiving. Elena, Michael, and Cora had a wonderful time playing with their 2nd Cousins, my Cousins, Mark and Anne, and Grandma Sue and Grandma Foulger.
The highlights of the trip are
1. Yummy delicious thanksgiving dinner
2. Yummy delicious apple cider, soup and biscuits
3. Yummy pies with ICE CREAM
4. Elena actually asking to try pie, even though she hasn't liked it in the past
5. Playing with all of Anne's toys
6. Going to an inside outside play gym
7. Going 3T/4T through downtown Portland (Train, Tram, Trolley, (T)Playground...)
8. AAAAAAAAAnd eating lots of yummy breakfast
9. I forgot how yummy baja fresh is!
10. And the most special - Decorating the Christmas Tree at Mark and Anne's - the kids loved decorating.
Then Elena came over with her standard watery eyes - where you know something is really sad inside but she's trying to keep it in.
"Daddy..." "Oh Elena, I know you're so sad because we don't have a big Christmas tree to decorate at home and you want one so bad."
Elena burst into tears and jumped into my arms. She pointed to a medium sized lamp and said, "Can we please just have a tree the size of this one?"
Anne was so kind to give us a tree just that size and it's added to the Christmas spirit of our home.
