christmas time- LOS ANGELES

During Christmas, we took the annual long journey by car down California.  I decided (probably once again) that I don't love the long drive anymore and I will be flying from now on.  We'll see...

The day before we left on our trip, I found out I was pregnant!  My energy level dropped quite a bit, and nausea started to escalate by the time we reached Southern California.  Good thing we were surrounded by adults as I went on a parenting vacation...

Los Angeles!  I feel horrible because I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I should have.  I also have pictures on my broken phone, which Dan will hopefully restore soon.

It was fun going outside everyday in 70 degree weather.  Maybe it didn't get that warm, but it was definitely warmer than up north in gloom land! (I crave warmth these days.)

Highlights included:
-Seeing friends Faith and Katie (pics?)
-walking around Los Angels temple with the Turners and seeing the Temple lights
-going to the BEACH a few times.
-Starwars
-Christmas day and gift exchange with Ashley, Michael, Xina, Katie, Jaime, Mom, Dad and Grandma (who is 103 years old!)
-Korean relatives, and white elephant exchange (they've learned which gifts come from my mom, hahaha)  It was real fun talking with my Uncle Adai. I hadn't seen him in 13 years since I visited them in Brazil.  His Spanish is really good, so we can communicate well.  Now their whole family immigrated over to Los Angeles and there are no longer relatives in Brazil.

Fun times in Los Angeles.  Will be posting about San Jose next!
