Breathtaking Enumclaw!!!

So Dan and I had a great date yesterday! We went to this AMAZING Indian restaurant and loved E.V.E.R.Y. bite! I vow to learn how to be a better cook and somehow reproduce what I ate, because each bite was expensive--yikes.

Afterwards, we decided to just drive and drive, really with no direction in mind. We headed toward Maple Valley to check out the area just in case we ever buy a house. Then we kept driving and BAM! We found farmland in Enumclaw, which is just breathtaking.

I loved it sooo much. I nearly cried it was so beautiful. I said, "Daniel, go into Agriculture because we are going to live the farm life!" It's funny. Earlier on the drive we passed by this neighborhood of huge mansions and that did not appeal to us. AT ALL.

In comparison, when we saw white fences surrounding beautiful fields of horses and cows amid the rolling hills and gorgeous volcano, our jaws dropped with complete awe! Oh, we can only dream.

Unfortunately we didn't have our camera, but these shots are pretty accurate to what we saw.  The sun was setting and the sky was a spash of blue, pink, and purple.  Breathtaking!

Today Dan is leaving for the whole day to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. It's an organization of volunteers that builds and sells houses at a bargain price for those with lower income and other certain circumstances. There's a single mom in our ward that qualified and so the ward is helping her out today!

It's just me and Elena. I am still reading 'Jane Eyre', my new favorite classic. The weather is beautiful, so we'll go on a walk too. I reminded Daniel yesterday that he better be thoughtful tomorrow on Mother's Day or I'll kill him. I'll let you know Monday if he is still alive. Take care!
