We are moving again! Still in Washington

Since moving to Washington in 2008, we have lived in 3 places and are on our way to number 4!  Despite how it appears, they were good moves each time.  We moved from place 1 to 2 to save $500/month- (no brainer); from place 2 to 3 so that I could gain job experience, and now 3 to 4 so that Dan could be closer to work and I could be closer to an old college roommate, Genoveva, whose husband landed his medical internship in Seattle!

Everything happened so fast.  I didn't want to work a full day with an infant, so it was a matter of time before I would quit my hospital job.  I could have waited until the baby's due date in August, but I wanted to see family and enjoy the sunny summer.  So at the beginning of March, I said I would work until March 30th.

One week later, my friend Genoveva called and said that they'll be moving to Seattle in June, and hoped we could live near each other.  However, a part of us wanted to stay in Sumner and buy a super cheap house for sale.  We figured even if the market didn't go up, we'd probably still save if we sold in a couple of years, BECAUSE WE WILL EVENTUALLY MOVE OUT OF STATE, MARK MY WORDS!!!  (i crave sun).  However, when that fell through, we started finding places for rent in expensive Seattle.  Last Tuesday, I found a great deal for a triplex WITH YARD in West Seattle.  We met with the landlord that day and signed a contract with him on Thursday.

Friday was my last day of work, while Dan met with his future boss who wants him to start working in Seattle by May 1st.  Our new home will only be 10-15 minutes away from his work, which for Dan means more time at home and less time commuting.

We'll be moving in two weeks.  AHHHH!  So fast, but I love how these things work out. Quitting my job, finding a new place, and Dan officially hiring onto a new project in Seattle were ALL PERFECT TIMING.   It almost happened too smoothly.  (I believe the Lord's hand was in this :))

The one thing that hurts our hearts is leaving all of the good Sumner-ites that we have gotten to know.  We've gained many good friendships and are sad to leave them.

But it's true, we are moving again.
