And now a story. Elena loves leaves. She points them out all the time and asks for them as we go on walks. I never really like salad dressing and prefer to eat my salads dry. Sometimes I'll just take a head of lettuce to work and eat it raw. One day, I grabbed a few leaves of lettuce and plopped them down in front of Elena who was at the kitchen table. I sat down myself and began eating some leaves of my own saying "MMMMMMM" Elena followed suit and did the same. Much to Genny's dismay, she kept eating it.
She'll eat all sorts of leaves straight without the typical parental encouragement a treat when she's done:
Lettuce, Spinach, and below Cabbage - Elena will grab leaves from a head of cabbage in the refrigerator by herself. She calls it "Spicy"

hilarious. i love lettuce without dressing too but not mixed greens. for some reason, those need dressing. as do spinach. your blog title needs to be updated. you got another one now!
