6/6 D day, I mean B day :)

Dear Diary,

On June 5th, I had dinner at the Paynes.  Melanie served me a pre-birthday cupcake.  I was joyously surprised.  And thought that was the end.  Why?  I specifically told my friend Jorelle NOT throw any degree of a party for me, knowing that she likes to do such things.  Why?  Because I don't like to be MADE the center of attention.  The anticipation of people gathering FOR me gives me anxiety...ANXIETY...

BUT.  This is what happened.  On June 6th at 6:30am, 3 of us planned to go run.  Sabotage.  I was taken to a birthday breakfast.  It was fun.  Thanks Jorelle and Juliet!

I was supposed to go to Zumba that day.  However, Elena was sick so I decided not to go.  Jorelle kept insisting, "Go to Zumba!  Oh Elena is fine.  I'll watch her, GO!"  My response, "Nah, no really I'll just go on a walk with her.  Really, I won't go.... ok, I don't want to go ooohkaay!  (it's my bday, don't be so pushy, bleh).  Little did I know that there was a surprise at zumba...

So I went on my walk with Elena.  We walked down main street, walked through a neighborhood, walked to the park.  As Elena swung in the swing, I talked to my sister Ashley, my Dad, my friend Lisa, hearing occasional beeps from callers, but thinking to return it when I got off the phone, until. it. died.

I finally walked back home to find a large gathering at Jorelle's, and people screaming, "Ah!  She's here!  Happy birthday!  Where were you?  Did you get my texts? Why were you hiding?"  I had no idea.  I was an hour late to my surprise bday luncheon.  WHOOPS!  I was slightly embarrassed as I enjoyed the moment with friends.

Dan came home and we enjoyed an awesome bike ride without Elena from Orting toward So. Prairie.  It was so much fun racing Dan and enjoying the breeze.  Thanks again to Jorelle, for watching sick Elena (and cleaning my kitchen!!!) while Dan and I felt like newlyweds. :)

And to finish the evening, we went to a Pupuseria for dinner and enjoyed every bite.  Yup, I was spoiled rotten on my birthday yesterday.  Thanks again to all!  Yeah for 29!
