Sorry i didn't post this yet, but we had a nice Phillips Family Reunion on Easter Weekend in Delaware. We flew from Seattle, and Dan's parents flew from Boise. Our Delaware hosts were Jason and Mindy with kids Katelyn and Ethan. The cousins got along really well, which was so cute.
My sister Debbie with kids Kylee and Parker were also able to join us Friday night, and Saturday for the Easter Egg Hunt:
Easter morning:
On Monday, the genders split up: Girls had brunch at the American Girl Store, and boys ate Indian and went to a local park. Pish-posh!
It was a quick and fun weekend!
Dan's additional narrative:
Getting to the airport we found ourselves at the check-in counter with two un-checked carseats and 40 minutes left before the plane was scheduled to depart! After a lengthy chewing out by the lady at the desk that we needed to get our "brady bunch" act together and get to the airport on time, we raced to security with our carseats because it was too late to check bags. At security, after reaching the front of the line, we found that Michael was not added to the ticket even though we specifically requested he be added at checkin - security would not let him through. Dan ran back to the checkin lady while Genny went through security with Elena. Back at checkin there were people cursing because they were too late for our flight. He got the ticket updated and then raced back through security. When he got through, we told Elena she needed to RUN to the gate. Elena immediately had a breakdown and started balling and wouldn't move saying she wanted to be held because her legs were too tired. Genny ran to the gate with Michael and one carseat to make sure the flight wouldn't leave without us while Daniel managed to pick up Elena while rolling a suitcase with carseat and backpack. Elena started to giggle but refused to be put down as Daniel panted all the way down to the gate. "Final boarding call for flight..." we barely made it!
Daniel drank from Michael's sippy cup to rehydrate. We'll never pull a close one like that AGAIN. :)
