The other day Dan was assisting Charlie in the standing position, then forgot??? and Charlie fell straight forward onto his face. Fortunately he was light weight and landed on the carpet. He cried with no injuries. Brought back memories to highschool when I dared a friend to make me faint during vball practice. She was supposed to catch me. Bruises for days.

Enjoyed watching #ldsconf this weekend with the family. Enjoyed the quote, "Children are great imitators, so give them something great to imitate." Time to reset some personal goals.
Earlier this week someone said he looked like a cute little elf. Right now he looks like a bunny. TWO TIMES now he has screamed in the arms of friends. Sad. He has become clingy to momma. Klingon?

Elena is skeptical these days, always asking if Santa and the Tooth Fairy are real. Last night she purposely stuck one under her pillow without telling us. She wanted to know the truth! Well... .
UPDATE: Tonight right before bed Elena said, "I'm putting my tooth under my pillow *right here*. Maybe the Tooth Fairy was just busy..." 😅
Introduced my old neighbor to tuliptown. You know... took her a few years...😉
My cape wearers and I went on a Craigslist crusade and are now running to Lake Sammamish on this surprisingly sunny day. Yay.

The last time we came to Snoqualmie Falls, they had just opened a path that takes you from the top of the falls to the bottom. So we hiked down the steeeep trail, and the whole time I was dreading the thought of hiking back up. When we got to the bottom, we discovered a PARKING LOT. WHAT?! I had no shame. After we saw the glorious waterfall, I preyed the parking lot until I found a safe looking old man. Then I played the prego card, and asked him to drive me back up to the top. Dan and the kids thanked me later.

Which picture would YOU most likely post on social media? (Just keeping it real-ish... Aaaand I really should go to bed, haha) hashtag filtered 😉
I've already bought two used Ikea toddler beds, and was going to find one more for Cora. But when I got back from Utah, I found that Dan and the kids built a replica. My lame response was, "You know I could have bought a used one for the same price." The kids refused to abort mission. Dan takes the win for perspective!
The rain went away, so we are out to play! Wrapping up spring break at city center. Such a cool park! And the fake grass is so soft.... A nice way to end the day after a rather angry morning. Sometimes it's just good to get out. We are friends again.

It's hard to get through the teenage years without someone getting into trouble with the wrong crowd. There was this one family whose kids neeeever got into trouble. Someone asked the dad how he did it! "Coke bottle glasses." Sounds good to me!
Happy Easter from Seattle. He is risen! #ibelieveinchrist

The littles are trying out Capoeira. Warming up. Geno's Ben will be proud... Also hope my Korean/Brazilian relatives are feeling nastalgic.
"HAHAHAHAHA I covered your eye!!!". This kid.
Sometimes he acts out like THE HULK and so I was checking in with his preschool teacher today about his behavior. Her response, "We have never had a problem with him. He is so compliant... One of the best behaved.". Whhhaaaa? I was in shock. He must not have turned green in front of them yet. Hopefully he never will. Good boy.
Well tonight, Michael blindly walked along the couch during story time and gashed his head open on the stone fireplace. Dan is with him at Seattle Children's Hospital awaiting stitches. Oh Michael...
Last Saturday our church youth group had a successful talent show/ bbq/ dessert auction to raise money for summer camp. I'm loving this hula dance to Latin music.

Different angles at alki today. Speaking of angles, read something today that made me laugh and think: "How many times had he watched as a young beauty turned thirty degrees before her mirror to ensure that she saw herself to the best advantage? (As if henceforth all the world would see her solely from that angle!)..." --A Gentleman in Moscow: a novel.
Elena was feeling some jealousy toward this kid at school because he was often complimented by the teacher for being helpful. But one day she realized that he too makes mistakes, and she felt relieved.
Then Dan started to explain, "Elena, no one is perfect, we all make mistakes. You're not perfect, your friend isn't perfect, I'm not perfect..." "Daddy, all the kids in our family know that you're not perfect."
Haha, well at least in my eyes, he is pretty perfect when he's washing those dishes! Carry on.
I'm watching these sisters for the day and I am fascinated with the natural hand holding (and the breathtaking view at Lincoln Park).

One tough thing about moving is telling your kid that we will be switching schools next year. Elena is pretty sad about that. Found this amongst her things. "Dear Lena, I made this so we can keep in touch. 💚 Elena."
